What it is
The Dome Generator is a small creative tool I built to explore geometric structures—specifically, dome-shaped ones—for a summerhouse concept that sparked during a walk. It’s a browser-based visual generator that lets you create a dome-like structure and experiment with form, scale, and pattern.
It’s not a finished product. It’s a working prototype. A digital sketchpad for shapes.
What you can do
- Generate a dome structure based on a low-poly mesh
- Adjust parameters like size and point density (coming soon: more controls)
- Export data (basic coordinates and image output) for potential use in CAD or physical prototyping
- Visualize different patterns and spark ideas for spatial or structural concepts
This is not an architectural design tool. It’s more like a geometric sandbox.
It’s also a testbed for creative coding, experimentation, and seeing what happens when you follow a weird idea just far enough.
Why it’s here
Because building something is the best way to understand something.
Because creativity needs playgrounds.
Because I could’ve just drawn a dome in CAD—but where’s the fun in that?
This tool is here because I started with one idea and let it evolve. And now I’m sharing it in case it sparks something for someone else too.
Try it, break it, remix it—just don’t expect perfection.
